Evidence Not Seen

A friend recommended this book to me and loaned it. It took me a while to get to it, but I have been very blessed by it, now that I have taken it up. It's a missionary biography with an unusual turn of events, as she ends up in a Japanese prisoner of war camp. It's very moving and convicting to read her humble account of the circumstances she endured, God's presence and sustenance for her, and her faithful, godly responses to the crushing difficulties she faced.
Reading something like this is a marvelous tonic for the self-centered way we tend to view our lives. Just what I've needed.
